Phoenix Diner in Absecon

Great service

From the parking lot you know that this place is clean. The glass doors don't have fingerprints or dirt. The hostess greats you with a smile asks how many in the party and seats you in seconds. Water is on the table before you can look at the menu. The food is as good as everything that preceded it. The standards are on the menu and the creative touch will keep me coming back. The waitress service was that of a 4 star fine dining restaurant. My coffee cup was refilled several times without delay. The Phoenix is a great diner and reminds me of the ones that I grew up frequenting in North Jersey and New York

Our stop on the way to AC, your typical diner, been there a few times but only for breakfast, so i really dont have a opinion on the other food.. my only complaint is they dont know how to make bacon if you want it well done, the cook dumps it in the deep fryer which kills the bacon to nothing but a burnt mess of garbage.. well done means just cook it a little longer.. i guess the cook is lazy.. when i told the waitress i was told i asked for it well done.. really.. your right but i didnt ask for it deep fried.. what a joke.. get with the program and get a real cook

This establishment is absolutely amazing. I have been going here for years I can't even remember how long. And it is just as good now if not better than it's always been. The staff is also amazing and very professional and friendly also helpful. The food is always delicious and perfectly prepared. The helpings are plenty full. I always have a good experience when I visit the Phoenix Diner

One of our favorite stops after A Atlantic city visit. Food service all excellent. Menu many options food good and fresh My personal favorite is the coconut custard pie ! Hope all that go enjoy as much as we do .

Literally an amazing meal on the way out of Atlantic city. Can't wait to come back neck month. You would be a fool not to come to this place.

Nice friendly service. Quick to get meal and was delicious. Traveler making a quick stop leaving satisfied. The coffee/tea cups are rather small but all in all a recommended meal stop.

Really nice friendly staff. Ordered eggs Benedict, wife got cream chipped beef. Both were very tasty. Really nice atmosphere and again very friendly staff. Got some fresh baked goodies to take home. Give this place a try. I'm glad we did.

Heading home from Atlantic City looking for breakfast spot. Saw outdoor dining stopped for a great breakfast.

It’s a good diner.It’s a diner. You know what you are getting. But the friendly staff and quality of the food brings it a bit over. Went on a Sunday morning and parking is scarce and you may need to park on the street if it’s busy. Even when it was busy things were still quick and yummy. I dreaded the bathrooms because it had poor to no circulation and draw your own sensory conclusions of that.

The waitress was not very friendly food was okay except for the burnt toast kind of felt sorry for the guy at the counter ordered a sandwich on toast and his toast was burnt worse than mine. The first picture is what I left behind I usually clean my plate off

This is my go to diner when I am in the Atlantic City area. The food comes out quick and is fresh. I have yet to be disappointed. The prices are great and I never leave hungry. I prefer to not do breakfast or lunch when I leave Atlantic City so I like to stop at the Phoenix and not deal with all the masses of people the casinos bring in. Definitely worth the visit!

Our waitress Denise was very sweet she deserves a raise she was working very hard. The food was delicious and it came fast. Definitely recommend.

The breakfast is pretty good and staff are nice and friendly, but the French dip is a joke.

Very fast service! Had our food very fast! Order the french dip! If you decide to go ask for Teresa!! She was phenomenal. Constantly checked on us to make sure we were happy and had exactly what we needed and wanted!

I ordered their baked ziti family meal that came with a quart of rice pudding, a salad, bread and the ziti. The salad had tomatoes that had mold growing on them and as soon as I opened the rice pudding a horrible smell came out of it. It was already spoiled. I called to let them know about it and they did offer to replace those items but honestly I didn’t trust the quality of the food anymore so I told them I didn’t want anything and just wanted them to know so they didn’t continue sending rotten food out. But, I will never eat there again.

They have outdoor seating that were comfortable even though it was hot. Nice selection from the kids menu, great variety of other menu items and nice lunch and dinner specials. If we're ever back in the area and we're hungry, save a table for us!
